The Eliza Jane Hotel has a rich history tied to the city’s vibrant culture and architecture. The hotel occupies a historic building that was originally a 19th century warehouse, home to print and bitters factories. It’s named after Eliza Jane Poitevent, the first female editor of a daily newspaper in the United States, who was a prominent figure in New Orleans. It features 196 rooms, the Couvant restaurant; The Press Room bar; The Library and fitness room. It is conveniently located in the Central Business District, only two blocks from the French Quarter.
