The group will fly on United Airlines in Economy class and should note the following baggage restrictions. Although United Airlines allows up to two (2) checked 50-lb bag for Economy (1st bag $40, 2nd bag $50); two complimentary (2) checked 50-lb bags for First Class, we ask you to limit your checked bag to one (1) 50-lb bag due to space and weight limitations. You are also allowed one carry-on item, measuring a total of up to 46.5 inches.  Carry-on size is calculated by measuring a bag's length, width, and height (including any wheels and packed away handles), then adding the three measurements together. 

Note: Additionally, you are allowed one small item, such as a purse, small backpack, laptop, camera bag or similar.  

All liquids and gels must be 3.4 oz (100 ml) or smaller containers and placed into one, 1-quart zip-top clear plastic bag. Anything larger will not be allowed. You must remove your quart-sized baggie from your carry-on and place it into a bin for x-ray screening. If you require larger amounts of liquids, pack them into your checked luggage. It's recommended that you pack scissors, nail clippers or any other sharp items in your checked bags, as they could be confiscated at the security checkpoint. Please be on time for all hosted events and activities.  All departures will be from the hotel lobby, unless otherwise noted in the day-to-day itinerary.  All hosted events are non-smoking.  Be sure and check  the FOX5/KUSI New Orleans WhatsApp group.

The time difference between new Orleans and California is -2 hours. When it's Sunday at 9:00 a.m. in New Orleans it's 11 a.m. in California.

September is fall in New Orleans, the average temperature in NOLA is in the mid 80s F. You might experience some rain showers.  

Clothing for all FOX 5/KUSI hosted evenings are smart casual, except for the farewell dinner which is dressy; sports coats for men and dresses or pantsuits for the ladies. Bring closed-toe, Athletic-type shoes for outdoor adventures.

Credit and debit cards are accepted widely throughout Lousiana but it’s a good idea to have some cash for smaller purchases.

Always carry prescription medications in the original containers, and keep them with you in your carry-on bag, not checked luggage. We suggest you check with your current medical insurance carrier for coverage of a medical emergency abroad, including air evacuation and hospitalization, as Nexstar Media Group | FOX 5 San Diego/KUSI is not liable for such medical emergencies.

FOX5/KUSI has arranged for most gratuities from baggage handling to tips for group functions.  Additional gratuities for exceptional service are at your discretion.

You will need to present a credit card upon check-in at both hotels to cover incidentals and other miscellaneous room charges.  All charges must be settled with the cashier prior to your departure.
